Radio DJ George Bowie had to cancel a gig after a group of neds (Scottish chavs) tried to steal his record collection.
The Clyde 1 breakfast host had turned up for the show at the Talk Of The Town pub in Shotts, Lanarkshire, when a thug grabbed his bag of discs. But Bowie, who is in training for a celebrity boxing match against politician Tommy Sheridan, refused to let go of the collection.
He said: "I'd just got out of my mate's car when this guy approached me and tried to take the bag. About half a dozen other guys appeared and surrounded me. I just thought: 'Uh-oh, this isn't going to end well. But there was no way I was going to let them take my records. I've got three kids to feed.'"
